Baseplates are thin and flexible — much thinner than a standard LEGO Plate.
Their most iconic modern usage is as the foundation for sets in the Modular Building Series.
Be careful, baseplates can be damaged more easily than other LEGO parts because they are so large and so flexible — If you bend it too far, it will break!
