El juego consta de:
- Un tablero de fieltro con los espacios para apostar sobre el, de buena calidad e imita muy bien el estilo de casino.
- Siete pares de fichas con colores para marcar a cada jugador.
- Siete Pintarrones personales
- Siete plumones
- Fichas de 100, 500 y 2500.
- Tarjetas en inglés, cada una con 2 preguntas y su respuesta al reverso.
- Un reloj de arena, poco necesario.
Cómo funciona:
Se pone el tablero sobre la mesa, se reparten dos fichas y un pintarrón del mismo color para cada jugador, funciona igual tanto con 4 cómo con 7 jugadores.
Se decide cuantas preguntas o cuantas rondas o cuanto tiempo se va a jugar, en realidad puede ser muy flexible esta regla.
Lo ideal es 15 preguntas o 3 rondas.
Es importante que al menos una persona tenga buen nivel de inglés, ya que las preguntas suelen tener palabras técnicas.
Si no es el caso, todos leen una pregunta en su turno.
Después cada jugador va a escribir en su pintarrón la respuesta que el considera acertada. Siempre son fechas, porcentajes o cifras.
Cuando todos terminaron de escribir, se colocan los pintarrones boca abajo en el tablero, luego se revelan las respuestas y se acomodan de menos a más en los espacios del tablero. Cada espacio tiene un multiplicador de apuesta.
Hasta aquí termina la parte de adivinar, sigue la etapa de poner las apuestas.
Cada jugador simultáneamente, coloca sus dos fichas de color sobre una o dos respuestas que cree más probables de acertar, puede ser la suya también.
Para apostar más fichas, siempre se deben colocar debajo de la ficha color del jugador.
Ej. Apuesto en mi primer ficha 400 y en mi segunda 1000. Pongo mi primer ficha de color y debajo 300, luego mi segunda ficha de color y debajo 900 ya que la ficha de color vale 100. Además el pintarrón cuenta como una ficha de 100.
Cuando todos apostaron, la persona que leyó la pregunta ahora lee la respuesta. Gana el pintarrón que se aproxime más, SIN PASARSE. Es decir si la respuesta es 1900 y los pintarrones más cercanos son 1901 y 1890, gana 1890 porque no se pasa.
Finalmente los jugadores que apostaron al pintarrón ganador reciben su pago 2 a 1, 3 a 1, 4 a 1, 5 a 1 o 6 a 1 según marque el tablero.
PROS:
Al ser una mezcla de mecánicas muy comunes, este juego es accesible para todo mundo, desde niños a adultos mayores, desde novatos hasta expertos.
100% Familiar.
Puede jugarse durante una o dos horas sin problemas.
CONTRAS:
Está en inglés y por lo tanto utiliza pulgadas, pies y millas. Pero basta con que alguien en su celular tenga listo un conversor de medida y que, al momento de hacer la pregunta diga centímetros en lugar de pulgadas y así.
Conclusión personal:
Este juego nos ha dado varias horas de diversión, no he tenido un sólo invitado que se confunda con las reglas o que no quiera participar. Lo he jugado con amigos y con familia y siempre tiene el mismo resultado. Lo prefiero para presentar a jugadores nuevos que hay más opciones de las que uno encuentra en un supermercado o una juguetería regular.
