"LEGO astronauts had somehow survived the vacuum of space without needing visors for eight Earth years. At last [in 1987] LEGO Space introduced the minifigure visor—transparent blue for Futuron, and opaque black for Blacktron—and it appeared in LEGO Town sets the following year. The same design is still in use today."¹
