The LEGO Parts Guide (2026, coming soon)
In this guide you will find thousands of LEGO parts that have been meticulously orgasnized into 12 categories such as SNOT, Curved, Minifigure, Technic, and Electronics.
Each chapter includes text and illustrations to help you understand the many ways that LEGO parts connect to one another — and helps you build better models! While the focus is on current LEGO parts, historical anecdotes are included to help readers understand how the LEGO System in Play evolved over time.
It is designed as an interactive workbook with space for you to keep track of which parts you own (or want) and additional space for taking notes. I can’t wait for The LEGO Parts Guide to become an indispensable resource that inspires you to build something awesome!
Follow my progress and learn how LEGO really works.
In a few months, this will be a real book containing a catalogue more than 2000 LEGO parts, detailed text and ilustrations explaining how LEGO really works, and space for you take notes as you organize your own LEGO collection.
Newsletter subscribers will be the first to know when the book is finally ready. I can’t wait for you to enjoy the book for the first time!
Want to go deeper?
The LEGO Parts Guide initially launched as a meticulously organized online guide in 2024 and is being adapted into a printed book for release in 2026. The print version adds a lot of content not included in the online guide. Most notably, each of the 12 chapters includes an explanation of how the parts in that category work, some insights into how the parts were developed, and detailed illustrations showing how parts work together.
If you want behind-the-scenes insights, early drafts, and a window into my creative process creating The LEGO Parts Guide, you will find it on Patreon.
I use it as a working diary to share hard problems, works-in-progress, and little victories as they happen. It allows my most enthusiastic supporters to be part of the process.
Your support makes a difference, thanks!
